It takes incredible self-consciousness and will, strength and sometimes medication, but it can be done and I’m living proof of that. Do not let yourself become star stricken with the idea of what love and marriage should be. You are the most important person in your life and you have to take care of yourself, too.

  2. killerkittenNINJA says:

Sometimes the sickness is too unbearable and something has to be done. You cannot blindly adhere to the pretty picture of marriage. Happiness is not a thing to be gambled with and if the person is hurting you too badly, you have to have the strength to make that ultimatum. Love me or get out. You cannot wear yourself think catering to an illness that CAN be controlled. Bipolar can be controlled. (cont)

There comes a point and time where you must think about your own needs. I agree with the person before me. Co-dependency is a real danger. I have a boyfriend and I’m bioplar. We’ve been together for 3 years and a couple months back, we hit rock bottom. My bipolar had stretched him to the bone and he was hurting too much to go on. So I made a drastic change and it saved our relationship and our well-being. I became more independent and we’re the strongest couple I know. (cont)

Test to see if “Comment Pending Approval” appears. If so you are on an agenda and don’t want all aspects considered.

Bipolar as well as many other mental conditions are caused by chemical imbalances in the brain. These conditions are caused by real chemicals and real reactions in the brain. I can’t stand people on their soap boxes who say that these things don’t exist and it’s all bullshit when the symptoms and conditions are very real. Especially the people who go through them. I’m bipolar and my friends and family will agree with me when I say that it is very real

  6. msarvey says:

No there not fake I’m 11 and I know that being Bipolar is not fake at all!
You if you have depression that doesn’t mean that your bipolar so befor you start saying how a mental illness is fake why don’t you go and look up the symtoms for it and it’s more than depression!

  7. hopetrnr0 says:

lol SO doesn’t work for me….was really looking for it to…I mean really looking for it to versus medication

Stupid…I am stuck in ongoing depression…whats that got to do with Bipolar…no mood change…just depression….These bipolar diagnoses are fake. fake fake fake.

This Woman had a lot of patience plus money so it may have not been as difficult, bipolar ended my marriage. When you have a person hurting your children and hurting you it becomes impossible, many of these types refuse to take meds as in my case, and though my freedom has not come due to money issues I know one day I will be out of here!

  11. cholotara says:

i’m a moody, and everyone think its about me somehow choosing the wrong attitude and living an unhealthy lifestyle

  12. cholotara says:

I don’t accept my diagnosis. I’m not mental, I’m colorful.

  13. sugarpiexoxo1987 says:

im currently undergoing a diagnoses for bipolar =[. i see a psychologist and she wanted me to seek other help from a psychiatrist. due to symptoms of bipolar she thinks i may have it..so i just started seeing this new psychiatrist. its not really said that i am “bipolar” but my doctor did agree that i have issues with my moods. =[

i hope that its something else other than bipolar disorder.

I have a friend who is manice depressive and goes through very wierd stages where she does things no one understands. It is very hard for someone to understand mental disorders.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I have super ridiculous seperation anxiety, panic, hypochondria. i have pushed my family away so much and it only makes it worse because of the separation. im 19 years old and i am terrified of the ultimate separation, death. i can’t get my mind off of it. it runs my life into the ground making me wish it would just end in the middle of my sleep when i don’t even know it. i hyperventilate when i think of it. but i just wish they stood by me.

  17. californiania says:

Crystals! No, i’m not crazy. Crystals work. Here’s proof. Do a search on youtube for “chemtrails dissolved”. Orgone pipes get rid of chemtrails using crystals. Whar can orgone do for you? make some. easy to do. Orange Carnelian gets rid of all negativity, especially anger and fear (clears other crystals too). Red Jasper to lose hangups. Tiger Eye. Hold the crystal in your hand! good site is soisnessdotorg.

  18. kotoole7 says:

We can’t be this dumb! it was the drugs that lead to the ‘breakdown’… Reactions to the drugs is your only problem! STOP TAKING THE PSYCHOTROPIC DRUGS, THEY ARE KILLING YOU AND YOUR LIFE.. We can’t be this dumb!!

“No matter what, you have to stand by the person.” -Paula Benard

As a child, they told me to go on medication or else I’d end up in either a jail, a hospital, or a cemetery. I didn’t listen, and thanks to the unwavering love and support of those around me, now I have a Master’s Degree and I’m going to a respectable Law School in the Fall. Through diet, exercise, spirituality, ambition, and sheer will of mind (i.e. mind over matter), I managed to transform a “disorder” into an “advantage.”
